Description

The wife and I have regular game nights with my brother and his wife. Here are some of our favorites to play.

P.S. These aren't ranked. They're all awesome.

Broforce

Absolute chaos. Everything explodes. We kill each other almost more often than we kill the intended targets. But few games top it in over-the-top action and absurd fun.

Crawl

One person is the 'dungeon crawler hero' and everyone else are spirits that can spawn as monsters/traps/etc. Gorgeous pixel graphics, and a really great game overall.

3

A Fistful of Gun

This is a personal favorite considering my affinity for pixel art and violent westerns. Each character has a different set of controls and therefore entirely different playstyles. Challenging and entertaining.

4

Gang Beasts

Perhaps the most ridiculous fighter ever. With the right group of people and plenty of beer it's also the funniest.

Hammerwatch

Top-down dungeon crawling with great graphics.

6

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

One person is stuck in a room with a bomb. The others have to reference a manual to help them defuse the bomb. Brilliant party game.

7

Knight Squad

Perhaps the most competitive on this list. But as long as no one is too obsessed with winning it's also insanely fun.

Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine

Top down pixel heisting. Most of the time is spent sneaking around, until someone triggers an alarm and everyone runs around yelling at the person responsible for alerting the guards. Always hilarious.

Mount Your Friends

Surely you've seen videos of this one. Stupid, pointless, and funny as hell.

10

Move or Die

Quick, chaotic, and never boring. The rules change every 30 seconds (I think that's the number).

11

Nuclear Throne

Very difficult, with spectacular graphics and that random luck that keeps it highly replayable (or more like retryable).

Risk of Rain

One of my personal favorite roguelikes. Great weapons, great graphics, huge replayability.

Rocket League

Unique, exciting, competitive.

14

Screencheat

My brother and I grew up screencheating each other on GoldenEye. Needless to say the wives still don't stand much of a chance in this one but everyone loves it.

SpeedRunners

Footracing with weapons. That's all you need to know.

moved Knight Squad & Hammerwatch from not interested to wishlist because of this list (& then rewatching some vids).

@Marcus Gang Beasts is so ridiculous and fun, if you like Mount Your Friends you should definitely give it a shot. I'm the same way with Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, we always read off a tablet while the other person sits at the computer. Not exactly the ideal feel of isolation.

I haven't tried the Jackbox stuff. I'll definitely check it out now! Thanks for the rec :D

Yes, I like your tastes! Mount Your Friends is one of my favorites. I've not played Gang Beasts yet but it looks fantastic from the videos I've seen. I desperately want to play Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes in the most immersive way possible (with VR headset and people flipping through printed out manual). Have never been able to do that yet, though.

Quick question: Have you played the Jackbox Party Pack stuff? At least a few of the games in those collections might be up your alley. :)

@moho_00 Crawl is definitely worth it.
Let me know when you want Mount Your Friends multiplayer and we'll arrange a match lol. Good stupid fun :)

One of these days, I'm going to play Mount Your Friends multiplayer :P

And I think you just talked me into picking up Crawl. It's been on my Steam wish list for a while and it looks like a lot of fun.
