Not sure if everyone saw or not but the new Nintendo system, code-named NX, will not be releasing this Christmas as everyone had thought, but instead will be released world wide in March of 2017. The more disappointing news in my opinion is that the new Legend of Zelda has been delayed until TBA 2017 as well, instead of the original planned release of the end of 2015. I'm not majorly upset over these announcements, as I have a ton of games to catch up on and this gives me a little more time to do so before the release, but majority of the internet is in an uproar. I am just curious to hear everyone's thoughts!

Wow, I had not heard about this yet. I'm not too surprised at the NX delay since Nintendo hasn't really talked about it at all and I'm sure they're feeling the pressure of "getting it right" this time (although, for the record, I absolutely love the Wii U). I'm a bit surprised with the Zelda delay, assuming it's still coming to Wii U. I'm starting to wonder if they're just going to ditch the Wii U version and have it as an NX launch title. Very interested to see what the big N has in store for us all...

...and it better include more PIKMINS!!!

They did confirm that it is still coming for the Wii U...it's launching for the NX and WiiU simultaneously.

And yes more Pikmin is never a bad thing haha!

Between PSVR (presumably this holiday season) and the upcoming PS4k (reportedly also in 2017,) I don't think Nintendo has a good "window" for launch anywhere that isn't going to be stifled by Sony at this point... Unless Nintendo actually made a good console finally, then maybe they have a chance. Given their hardware track record with the Wii+WiiU though, I sincerely doubt it.

@dhobo I completely understand your doubts...but Nintendo has flowed through my veins for 25 years so I am going to ride with them into the sunset lol

@tarzanslam as possibly one of the biggest Zelda fans out there, I went into Skyward Sword with way too high of expectations (so many publications were giving it perfect 10s). If you keep your expectations modest you will enjoy it...with my expectations so high I was actually disappointed in it.

I think thats why i haven't picked up Skyward Sword yet...it doesn't have that traditional zelda look and feel which doesn't make me thrilled about it. But I will pick it up just because it's Zelda.

I'm feel the same about Nintendo, I will stick it out with them until the end. I have owned every Nintendo system since the NES at some point in time.

I'm okay with pushing Zelda. If there is one franchise of Nintendo's I want to be as close to perfection as possible, it is Zelda....

As far as the NX....I've not heard much about it but I do know that I'm not a huge handheld guy.
