Hi guys,

I was wondering, what do you do when it comes to compilation completions?

If you enter a completion for each part of a compilation, do you also put something for the whole set?

For example, I just finished the game Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, which has 4 episodes, purchasable separately and listed as members of the full-game's compilation here on the site.

I've entered a completion for my time to beat each episode. Should I enter one for the whole "Complete" game?

Good question and not a scenario I've run into yet personally.

I would probably treat the compilation entry as a single game and enter a sum total time for the compilation itself and individual times for each episode. Having the data might help someone else make an informed decision on the series as a whole if they see how much time it all takes together instead of having to look up each individual episode.

I've run into this on many occasions. As @Dhobo said, it's pretty much the time of each separate entry for the compilation rolled up into the one entry for the compilation.

I've done this on many of the episodic content type games that TellTale puts out. Examples include the Walking Dead (Season 1, Season 2, Michonne), Back to the Future, Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us, Jurassic Park.

For your example, I'd just add all four episodes together and put it as the final time for the game as a whole.

Okay, that's what I was thinking too.

I guess an entry for each will help the stats for each episode, and the overall is just a nice bunch of more stats. More stats is more better! :P

Same here, I log each episode (or whatever) and then one overall time.

For compilations, I will do as moho_00 said and log each entry separately, then add the total time of all playthroughs in the set and log an additional entry for the entire compilation. That way, users will get a grasp on how long a certain episode or section will take to beat while getting through the entire set of games / episodes.
