Hi Everyone! I'm a newbie with a few questions. I have several games that I don't consider having an end. Like Minecraft or Animal Crossing. Does it matter that you don't put a percentage played? And, how do you know what percent of a game you have played? I have some games that I am currently playing, but I have no idea how far I am percentage wise. My last question is can you edit an entry? I haven't figured that out. Like if I have a detail to correct or update. Thanks!

So I'll do my best to answer this, but if anyone more experienced with the site wants to chime in, please do.

Q: I have several games that I don't consider having an end. Like Minecraft or Animal Crossing. Does it matter that you don't put a percentage played? And, how do you know what percent of a game you have played? I have some games that I am currently playing, but I have no idea how far I am percentage wise.

A: In your collection, when you set a game's status to "Finished" or "Completed", it will automatically set the game's percentage to 100%. Outside of that, it's up to you to set it to whatever you want. The site has no other way of knowing how you have progressed through a game, other than using playthrough goals.

Q: My last question is can you edit an entry? I haven't figured that out. Like if I have a detail to correct or update.

A: I assume you mean the data about a game, like release dates and genres, etc? In this case, there are curators who work on these kind of requests, similar to adding new games. I recommend you use "Incorrect Game Data" thread for reporting these kind of things: https://completionator.com/Forum/PostList/3280.

Hopefully this helped. Let me know!

I'll second what @Warringshogun said on the first question. That slider/input for determining percentage is strictly up to you on how you want to handle.

For me, any game where there isn't an end to achieve, I usually list it as 'N/A' on the status field and don't worry about the percentage. However, it's all subjective and you can determine, on your side, how you want to handle those kinds of games.

Also - welcome to Completionator! :)

I figured out how to update an entry in my collection. You just click on it and change what you need to. I see now that if you click on the game name of your entry, you can edit it. But, if you click somewhere else in the entry, it just shows the stats. Glad I figured that out!
Thanks for the help. I appreciate it!
