Spooktober Games
Description
Games I own that are horror, halloween-themed, dark/gothic or somewhat close that I may tackle during the month of October!
My backlog may be a mile long but I'm also open to suggestions.
Resident Evil VII: Biohazard
I own this and beat it pretty extensively last year, but there's still much to do. Plus rumor has it there's a VR mod, and I have a VR now, so...
Simulacra 2
I played the first game last year and enjoyed it, so I'll clean up the sequel this year.
I finished the sequel. I liked it about the same as the first game.
Costume Quest
More of a light-hearted game than a horror one, I am curious about it.
Monstrum
This is a VR game, so we'll see...
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
I know OF Amnesia, I just never PLAYED Amnesia.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
I know OF Amnesia, I just never PLAYED Amnesia.
Phasmophobia
Probably my favorite horror game, now with VR!
Unfortunately the recent rework made the game a bit less fun to play. I hope grinding the higher tier equipment makes it worth it.
Bigfoot (2017)
I don't think this is "traditional" horror but the atmosphere and premise is good enough to consider it. I really want to try this in multiplayer.
DOOM 3
The original Doom 3, without the benefits the BFG edition brings! I think there's a VR mod for this as well. If I'm feeling daring, maybe I'll try it.
Devour
Multiplayer horror game I've played before. It's fun.
Pacify
Multiplayer horror game I haven't played yet.
Dead by Daylight
Controversies and toxic community aside, this game has "horror" vibe written all over it. I've played a few games and enjoyed it.
Ghost Hunters Corp
This game started the legacy for Phasmophobia knockoffs, and I couldn't resist trying it on a sale.
It was pretty bad. Maybe it'll pick up steam once more updates come out.
Alice: Madness Returns
This game gives kind of spooky and "messed up" vibes since I watched my cousin play it over a decade ago.
The PC port barely works for me, so I'll have to pass for now.
Goosebumps: The Game
No clue if this even counts, but I absolutely loved Goosebumps as a kid.
Castlevania Anniversary Collection
I played a lot of these games way back when, but having an official collection is awesome too.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition
My dad loved this game.
V Rising
Hack and slash ARPG action with building in a gothic-esque universe? Sign me up!
Seventh Circle
I also own its sequel, "Inferno: Beyond the 7th Circle". Good ol' dungeon crawlers.
Conrad Stevenson's Paranormal P.I.
A unique ghost hunting game. I played it a little bit but it's gotten more polish since.
DUSK '82
It's DUSK, but a puzzle game. Curious about it!
Labyrinthine
I really want to try this one in multiplayer too.
Resident Evil HD Remaster
The one to start it all!
Pumpkin Jack
I 100%d this before, but it was fun and light-hearted. Maybe one day I'll do a no-death run.
Blood: Fresh Supply
It's Blood.
Left 4 Dead
Not as scary since youtube made hilarious movies about the characters back in the day, but this game had its place when I first played it a long time ago!
Left 4 Dead 2
This and HL2 got me into xbox gaming, and this game also spooked me a bit. It's a classic.
Blood II: The Chosen
It's Blood, but apparently inferior.
